About 70% of those who practice yoga (western culture) are women, we are attracted to it for many reasons; relaxation, maintain energy, fitness and flexibility as well as nurturing our spirit, inner awareness and strength.
I have been practising yoga for over 30 years, and there is a reason why it continues to be a significant factor in my life, just like good food and kind friendly people. Yoga is not only a physical practice, but it also supports our feminine need for a cosy relaxed way of life, supported by a spiritual outlook.
Women’s defined needs, issues change throughout all the stages of life. Our outlook, our emotions and interactions depend on our hormone balance which control menstrual cycles, reproduction, pregnancy and menopause. Yoga helps to balance these hormones efficiently and effectively to help us travel through these stages in a relaxed way.
